**PLEASE REMEMBER**

NOTICE:  Any seller that tries to sale any

item (clothing, shoes, toys, baby gear,

ANYTHING) that has been RECALLED and/or

that is LISTED on the CPSC website

(www.cpsc.gov) will be required to PAY ALL

FINES AND PENALTIES as required by law

and WILL NEVER BE A SELLER with Lil'

Angels Attic in the future.

It is the seller's responsibility to look up any

items which may be recalled on the CPSC

website (www.cpsc.gov).

CLOTHING

  • Make your items look brand new!  It does take a lot of time to wash and iron your clothing; but it will make a HUGE difference to the buyer and yield you more profits.  Clothes that are clean, pressed and smell fresh sell faster.  Starch, a little bleach, an iron, or a needle & thread will work wonders!

  • Take the time to button all the buttons, zip the zippers, tie all the bows, etc.

  • Sets sell better than separate items, so match up separates when you can.  This also helps us utilize our space better!

  • All pieces of a set must be the same size.

  • When hanging an outfit that includes pants, hang the pants with the shirt so that they can easily be seen. Here’s how: Turn the shirt around so that you are facing the back of the shirt, then safety pin the top of the pants to the shoulders of the shirt. Try to grasp the lines of the hanger in the safety pin as well, so the pants do not weigh-down the shirt.  See pictures below for details.

  • DO NOT use Ziploc bags for clothing, onesies or pajamas! Shoppers don't want to buy items they can't fully see. All clothing items must now be on hangers. Consider grouping 2 or 3 onesies together on hangers.

  • If you have more than one of an item that you want to sell together, there are two options: hang one on the hanger and pin the shoulders of the others to the one on the hanger OR put each item on its own hanger and rubber-band the hangers together. In either case, make sure to write the quantity in the item description on the card.

  • When using ziplock bags for small items, shoes, and such you MUST use CLEAR PACKING TAPE across to top of the bag.  Do not use other types of clear tape, it must be CLEAR PACKING TAPE.   This is the make sure your items are secure in the ziplock bag.  DO NOT tape over the barcode!!

PINNING THE TAG

  • Use 1" or larger safety pins (no tiny gold safety pins or straight pins).

  • Place the pin horizontally and catch the garment and the card twice.  On tags place each side of the pin through the double zeros (00) on each side of the "PIN HERE"  Make sure the pin goes though the front AND the back of the clothing item.

  • Place the tag on the upper right hand side of the garment as you face it, as shown in the picture below:

PLEASE REMEMBER to print all tags on

    WHITE CARDSTOCK PAPER (65#).

This is recommended due to our new barcode system.

The following photos show exactly how to hang your clothing for the sale:

SHOES

  • Children's shoes only--no adult styled shoes please!

  • All laces & shoes must be in excellent condition.  No boxes please.  Place shoes in ziploc bags and attach tag to outside with packing tape, being careful not to cover the barcode.  Be sure to use clear packing tape across the top of the ziplock bag so items are secure in bag and can not be removed.

SMALL ITEMS

  • Many small items such as belts, bottles, hairbows, bibs and other miscellaneous fit GREAT in Ziploc bags. We DO recommend using Ziploc bags for small items. Tape the tag to the outside of the Ziploc, being careful not to tape over the barcode.  Be sure to use clear packing tape across the top of the ziplock bag so items are secure in bag and can not be removed.

CRIBS, BEDS AND OTHER LARGE FURNITURE ITEMS

  • Need to be UNASSEMBLED with all pieces secured together.  Please include a picture of the item assembled.

TOYS

  • All toys must be in working order with batteries.  Please make certain that all pieces of a toy item are securely fastened together and that your toy is complete. You may use packing tape, Ziploc bags, clear plastic containers, etc., but please, make sure that all the items are secure. Again, do NOT tape over the barcode.
  • Clean your toys of dirt, grime, and marks.  A little elbow grease goes a long way when it comes to money in your pocket!

BEDDING

  • It is BEST to bring your bedding in a clear bedding bag, like the bedding was purchased in. This allows the shoppers to easily see the bedding without needing to take it out. It also keeps any smaller items (like pillowcases, bedskirts, curtains, etc.) with the bedding.  Bedding will be allowed on hangers, but must be secured as not to be separated.
  • If you do not have a bedding bag, an alternative that we highly recommend are the new XL and XXL sized Ziploc bags, which work very well for bedding. They come 3 or 4 in a box and you can get them at Wal-Mart!

BOOKS

  • Do not tape tag directly to cover, as the cover is ruined when packing tape is pulled off.
  • When selling multiple books, large ziploc bags work great.  Remember to use clear packing tape and to NOT cover the barcode with tape.

VHS, DVD, CD, VIDEO GAMES

  • Use packing tape to affix tag to back of case.  Do NOT cover barcode.
  • DO NOT use ziplock bas for DVD, VHS, CD or Video Games.
  • They do not have to be in the original cases, but do have to be the original version and NOT a copy.

WRITING DESCRIPTIONS

  • Write good descriptions! If a card is lost from an item, the only way we can match it back with the item is by the description you write! Make sure the description is good enough to help us locate your item if the tag is accidentally pulled off. Good examples are: brand, color, 2-piece, etc.
  • If your item qualifies as “NEW” or “Only worn twice”, write that in your description. Those phrases catch a shopper’s eye and give the item greater appeal!
